ACTIVITY SUMMARY

• The Board of School Administrators is a 10-member board appointed by the governor and confirmed by the senate for their outstanding contributions in their respective fields and for their commitment to the highest ethical standards for Minnesota's administrators. A majority of the board are practicing administrators.
• There are 7,037 Minnesota licensed school administrators, up 2.3 percent since 2016. The board issues over 475 new licenses every year.
• The board reviews each of the 43 administrative preparation programs at Minnesota’s 14 universities every five years to ensure quality and effectiveness.
• The board processes over 120 ethics inquiries per year ensuring that the public is protected and providing due process for all Minnesota administrators.
• The board reviews and approves over 1,800 organizations to offer official professional development for Minnesota’s administrators each year.
