This position exists for an Advocacy Organization to consult and collaborate with the Department of Human Services on the development and implementation of CFSS, a program that will replace PCA. The person in this position should have knowledge and understanding of the Personal Care Assistance (PCA) program, be able to collaborate with multiple stakeholders on the development and implementation of the new program, be open and creative to establishing a new service for people to self-direct to the extent the person receiving services wishes while balancing the necessary health and safety measures for the person receiving services.
The person in this position must commit to attending council meetings which are held on a quarterly basis, four (4) times per year. Meetings are held at DHS central offices, either at 540 Cedar Street in St. Paul or at 444 Lafayette Rd N in St. Paul. Meetings will be held on a week day for two (2) or two-and-a-half hours. Meetings will be scheduled between the hours of 9am and 2pm. A call in option will be offered for members to attend when they are not able to join the meetings in person.
