Public Engagement Advisory Task Force - Capitol Area Architectural and Planning Board
The Public Engagement Task Force will create space for members of the public to share experiences about what the Capitol means to them and feedback on the monuments, memorials, and works of art on the Capitol grounds and in the interior of the State Capitol. The Task Force will also address how the CAAPB can ensure proactive and meaningful public engagement in its decisions.
The Task Force will meet at the call of the chair, but applicants should expect a schedule of approximately two online meetings per month in addition to public input meetings in fall 2020 as conditions allow. The Task Force will work efficiently to prepare a report to the CAAPB. The Chair may dissolve the Task Force after receiving the final report.
Applicants should expect to receive a wide range of input from Minnesotans and engage in a collaborative manner to synthesize the key themes that emerge. As it relates to this work, applicants should also be prepared to explore historical representation and its present-day implications.
