Membership
Members must own and operate a motorcycle currently registered for on street use in Minnesota. Member must regularly operate a motorcycle a minimum of 3,000 miles per year and have a valid Minnesota motorcycle license endorsement.  Member will advise the Department of Public Safety on motorcycle safety issues and activities of the Minnesota Motorcycle Safety Program. Member will be required to participate in one rider training activity during the first year of their term. Applicants must include a letter of interest that provides information on their motorcycling background, riding experience, and motivation to serve on this task force.

Advise on motorcycle safety issues and activities of the Minnesota Motorcycle Safety Program.

ACTIVITY SUMMARY

Advised on budget, reviewed annual crash data, made recommendations on focus of annual public information campaign and recommendations on rider training activity. 

On February 12, 2021, Commissioner Harrington filed a letter extending the expiration date of the Task Force until June 30, 2023.
