Entity Powers and Duties, Activity Summary
The Commission will undertake system planning and provide recommendations to the Legislature for grants funded by the Parks and Trails Legacy fund to counties and cities outside the seven county metropolitan area for designated parks and trails of regional significance.

ACTIVITY SUMMARY

Annual Staff Hours: 0.00
Total Appropriations: $20,048,000.00
Appropriations Description: Commission operating budget of $902,000 for fiscal years 2020 and 2021. Grant funding in FY20 of $8,639,258 and FY21 of $8,673,067 which was a reduction of $1,311,000 due to tax collection shortfalls related to the effects of COVID-19.
Fiscal Year Expenses: $902,000.00

Expenses Description:

446,000.00 in FY20 for operating expenses and 456,000.00 in FY21 for operating expenses. Total available for grants is $8,639,258 in FY20 and $8,673,067 in FY21.
